Connie Lima, President -- Connie was born and raised in Tiverton, a member of one of the first Portuguese farming families in the area. She lived in Los Angeles for many years where she taught in the public schools. Now a resident of Tiverton again, her heritage has instilled in her a strong desire to preserve and strengthen the agricultural tradition of the town. |

Alan Cruickshank, Vice President -- Alan and his wife Joan moved to Tiverton in 2001 - and wished they had done so 30 years before. With an extensive marketing background, he currently works out of his home which allows some time to enjoy cycling and kayaking. Having lived in N. Attleboro during the Emerald Sq. Mall development, he is very aware of what unchecked development can do to a small town. He wants to see Tiverton remain an unspoiled and uncongested oasis on an east coast that is increasingly over-developed. |

Mike Shand, Secretary -- Mike grew up in Fall River. After working in both the US and abroad, he and his wife purchased a home in Tiverton 16 years ago. They now reside in Tiverton full time because of its scenic beauty, rural vistas and life free of traffic and congestion. For them, theTiverton Land Trust helps to preserve these values for everyone. |

Roger Gauthier, Treasurer -- Recently retired from Raytheon in Portsmouth, Roger has lived in Tiverton since 1980. He and his wife, Martha McNaught, live on Highland Road. With their combined 5 children gone from the nest, they now have time to kayak and sing in a small local a cappella group. Roger is treasurer of Amicable Church and a member of the choir. He hopes Tiverton’s protected land can be expanded as development expands to help maintain a good balance and to preserve our rural character. |

Jean Bento -- Jeanie is a life-long resident of Tiverton and is the owner of Pachet Brook Tree Farm and a Child Day-Care Center. Her interests are local history, antiques and collectibles. For Jeanie, being a member of the TLT means preserving the farm land and scenic views of Tiverton for my grandchildren and future generations. |

Wayne Browning -- After retiring from teaching HS Biology in NY and IL, Wayne and his wife, Eileen, moved to Tiverton 5 1/2 years ago. He enjoys kayaking, gardening and fishing. The TLT provides him with the opportunity to fulfill his obligation to preserve and protect the natural setting for plants and animals. |

Laura Epke -- Laura grew up in Buffalo, attended college in Delaware and worked in Boston for 20 years before finding “home” in Tiverton. A life-long lover of nature and history, Laura found the perfect blend of both in Tiverton. Laura has been a full time resident since 2001 and splits her time between the Land Trust, town government activities and her garden. |

John Foley -- John, who is an attorney in Providence, has lived in Tiverton since 1987. He has been the president of The Alliance to Preserve Tiverton since 1995 and served on the 2003 Tiverton Charter Review Commission. His interest in preserving Tiverton’s small-town rural character is continually reinforced by the many hours he spends cycling on the area’s scenic roads. |

Linda Lacroix -- Linda moved to Tiverton in 1998 after retiring from a career in Human Resource Management. Always a nature lover, she is an entusiastic member of the Tiverton Garden club as well as a dedicated TLT who embraces its mission is to preserve the rural charm and scenic beauty of Tiverton. |

Ives Nathan -- Ives moved to Tiverton 18 months ago from Mamaroneck, NY where he owned and operated an office furniture dealership in NYC for over 35 years. In his home town, he was active in many volunteer positions including: Deputy Mayor, Library President., Budget Committee Chairman., and fire department liason. Currently on the Executive Committee at the Villages on
Mt. Hope Bay, he is interested in the mission of the TLT and embraces the need for increased outreach for the Trust. |

Colin Robinson -- Colin, having lived in Tiverton with his wife Marlene for over 35 years, is a retired financial analyst and investment adviser with the Hospital Trust National Bank and the Bank of Boston. Also a retired leiutenant commander in the Naval Reserve, he has served on the boards of many organizations. He is a cyclist, mountain climber, hiker and a life member of the Appalachian Mountain Club. |

Jim Spears -- Jim moved from Southern California in 1999 due to a Raytheon plant closure and retired here in 2000. He has devoted significant time and energy to various volunteer efforts which include becoming the “Trails Guy” for Pardon Gray and Weetamoo. He has been responsible for design and construction of trails in both areas with help from Eagle Scout Manny Mello. Jim also enjoys ham radio, photography, birding and traveling. |

Trish Sylvester -- Trish has resided in Tiverton for 35 years. She is an attorney and has been very active in the town. She has served four years as president of the TLT and is currently a Planning Board member. She firmly believes that it is important to protect Tiverton’s open spaces and farms for future generations. |

Martin Van Hof -- Martin grew up in Portsmouth RI. and with his brothers and cousins worked at Van Hof Nurseries during his youth. With brothers Peter and David and cousin Tom, they now own and operate Island Garden Shop, Inc. and Van Hof Nurseries, Inc. Martin has long had an interest in preserving the charm of our part of New England. He was a founding member of the TLT. He particularly envisions not only the need for undisturbed wild habitat but the eventual need for farm land to grow food locally as transportation makes distant sources less desirable. |

Nancy Weinstein -- Nancy has lived in the 1845 Captain William Howland House on Highland Road since 2004. She directed departments of Corporate and Foundation Relations at four colleges and universities namely Wheaton, Wellesley, Harvard School of Public Health and Brown before becoming an independent consultant specializing in grant development for non-profits. Nancy joined the board three years ago due to interest in conservation and native plants. |
